The Kalamalka Institute for Working Writers is host to
a Digital Archive that will provide accessible guides on writers, artists,
musicians and other cultural workers.
Most 'guides' will initially be in the form of annotated
bibliographies. Archive visitors will have access to a mapped terrain
of the writer (etcetera's) career, production, and the community response
to it.
The pedagogic function of the Archive is to enhance the
Kalamalka Institute's mandate of quality writing across the media. As such,
the Archive offers the results of (but is not limited to) refereed student
work.
The Digital Archive entries will be: comprehensive, accurate,
and centred on the cultural life of British Columbia.
In the future, the Kalamalka Institute will receive submissions
of work undertaken elsewhere for the Archive.
