Greg Simison: An Annotated Checklist

Greg Simison was born in Guildford, Surrey, England in 1946. His parents moved the family to Canada in 1954, when Simison was 8 years old. Simison finished his schooling in Canada and studied English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Calgary, Alberta. In Calgary, Simison became known for his organisational abilities in the poetry community. Simison moved to the Okanagan Valley in 1978. Since moving to the Okanagan, Greg Simison has been an omnipresent figure in literary and cultural events in the region. His poetry has been published in national and international periodicals. He is a co-founder (along with John Lent) of the Kalamalka Press and his volume, The Possibilities of Chinese Trout (1986) was the catalyst for the Kalamalka New Writers’ Poetry Competition.
