Penny Draper. Ice Storm!

Alice felt paralyzed . Was Mrs. Hartley dead? Their houses were mirror images of each other, which meant that the hole in the roof was right on top of the master bedroom.

First of all, an ice storm happens and destroys the town. Then Alice has to go to a shelter, and at the farm, Aliceís cousin, Sophie, has bad things happening to her - all the cows are dying! Someone almost falls off the bridge, and Alice thinks itís her dad who falls off the bridge.

My favourite part is when a calf is born. I liked it because I love animals.

I liked this book because itís interesting. A child who likes to read about disasters would like this book. I would also recommend this book to kids who like skating. The characters are believable because there was an ice storm in Montreal. I like the authorís writing style because I didnít have trouble reading it.

I give this book five out of five stars.
