One Nation
Azita, Age 14, Vienna, VA
We are one nation, and always will be
Red, white, and blue are the colors we see

Waving freely in the sky
As we walk, drive, or fly by

Through the years Americans have risked their lives
Fighting for our freedom, missing husbands, children and wives

In remembrance of those courageous men and women today
We honor them every year, on the third Monday of May

The National Anthem, or Star-Spangled Banner
Inspires citizens to celebrate in a patriotic manner

There are fifty states plus cities and counties
We were rewarded with an irreplaceable bounty:

The United States of America
