Skiing
Justin, Age 10, Palo Alto, CA
                      Snow falls
Bouncing off my pants
My goggles protect me from the vicious wind
The uneven ground robs me of control
I twist
I turn
I am tossed into the air by the hands of the slope
I am confused, scared, surprised, all at once
Air is knocked out of me
As I land on my chest
Both skies have fallen off
My poles have slid down the hill
breath regained
Skies in place
poles strapped in
I ski once more
