Why the World Spins
Amanda, Age 13, Warwick, PA
In the brightest of days and the darkest part in the night
Laughter jumps in the whirling air, dancing off tongues
From little girls sprinkling out jokes
From the fears knocking on your door
From the fireworks as bright as the sun
From the memories with your loved ones
Out from under the most embarrassing moments
In butterfly filled stomachs
From not knowing what to say or do
Out of the friendships that made you who you are today
In the meals you cherish with your family
From the sadness of death
From start of high five
Out of the dreams you were told would never come true
You find laughter
