The Power
Sharize, Age 12, Lexington Park, MD
You know stuff about people so well.
But you know stuff about a true friend that you'd never tell.
You can open a book and read the secrets hidden inside.
But when you have a true friend, you let them shine.
Their true uniqueness you never want to judge.
And when people try to break them apart they won't budge.
They're one with each other, even if they're two.
They're such best friends they don't need glue.
When they smile they mean it.
Together they're a great fit.
They can do things together no matter how hard.
They're such great friends, that they don't need to express themselves with a card.
Sometimes I can't even express things with words.
The power of friendship soars way beyond birds.
