                      I stared in the window,
At the cake.
I could not imagine
How long it must have took to bake.

On it was chocolate,
Cookies and cream.
It looked like it came
Straight from a dream.

It had a price tag, too,
Only twelve ninety-nine.
But I only had
A penny and dime.

Then the baker took it,
I was rather sad.
Then the bakery door opened,
And out came my dad!
