And You're Mad Because You Can't Get Your Way
Beverly, Age 13, Dayton, OH

And they're mad, why? They have no idea what goes on in people’s lives; some don't have a place to live, some are struggling to live. Every day you see someone with a problem in his or her life. Then you have got someone that's mad because he or she can't get that new pair of Jordans or that new iPhone that just came out. But down the street you see someone who doesn't have shoes. And you're mad because you can't get your way.

Yeah, I get life isn't perfect, or you just want something new. But truth be told, it's just some little thing in life. You want something new, or maybe you will realize there are bigger problems in life around you.

Little problems you complain about. Well guess what? You're not the only one, and you don't have the biggest problem. Because life is rough all over and, if you don't believe me, look around you. People in this world have bigger problems than you do. And you're mad because you can't get your way.

People are dying, children are crying, wars are going on. People have problems outside of this world. And you're mad over some little thing, or you think you have the biggest problem in this world. Or you sit and complain over this and that. Or you're mad over one thing, then the next. Well, let me tell you, it's just some little thing in life you will forget about.

Life is rough all over. 3,000 miles away, there's something bigger than you. All around the world, people go through life and death situations. And you're just mad because you can't get your way. Look to your left and right; that person might have a bigger problem than you. And you're just mad because you can't get your way.

People are struggling day in and day out, and you're mad over some little problem. That can be solved really quickly, or just maybe it won't matter to you in a bit. The struggle is real all over this world. And you're mad because you can't get your way, really.
