Night Poem
Hannah, Age 13, Phoenix, AZ
                      the stars are my wishes
I make new ones each night
they keep me safe and get rid of my fright
they shine the sky like diamonds sparkly and bright
as they shoot and soar across the night sky with a faint glowing light

as morning comes closer I make one last wish
and create star shapes that look like yellow fish
down the front porch I go towards the star garden
giving my stars a bittersweet pardon
