The Stars, the Moon, and I
Gabi, Age 13, Phoenix, AZ
It was just the stars, the moon, and I
The full moon was shining brighter than ever
The hoots of owls came from a nearby tree
Filled the empty night
Crickets chirped in a nearby bush
Fireflies added light that the moon and stars could not
I wish I could stay here forever
But eventually,
The moon and stars will have to go
And I will again,
Be left all alone
