Dedicated to the Events of September 11th
Candace, Age 11, Trinity Bay, NF

If only second chances were allowed in death and life,
than maybe they wouldn't have died: husband, child or wife.
Now everyone around us is in sorrow and in grief,
this is what would happen if violence met defeat.
How many people died, maybe thousands says the count,
It's hard to tell for workers died who were just trying to help out.
My poem doesn't fix anything or bring them back to life,
but I hope that for goodness and less violence we will all strive.
