Springing to Life
Iona, Age 10, Te Aroha, New Zealand
Small frisky lambs take their wobbly first steps, on a miniature exploration of the luscious fields.
Green vegetation breaks through the melting snow.
Covered in a thin blanket, the morning dew glistens in the warming sun.
The sweet smell of blooming blossoms fills the still, clean air.
Determined roots forge pathways in the supple dirt.
Plants call to each other in excited babble, exclaiming new flowers and fruits.
The sense of new life sings through every living thing, through the explosion of vegetation, through the growing crops and through the majestic flowers.
