Fall
Leah. Age 12. Jamison, Pennsylvania
                      Rustle
Rustle
Crinkling and crunching like paper,
The leaves
Tumble Down
Flutter Down,
Sink Down,
Gathering in a pile like penguins
Huddling for warmth,
A mix of vibrant
Taxi-yellows
Reds of an apple
Full and ripe
And grass-greens,
The branches like
Outstretched arms
Left empty and bare
But still full of life and joy
Like a child’s first step,
For fall is here-

Again.
