How did I learn how to dream?
I learned it from Martin Luther King

He taught me so many other things
how to be fair and caring to all,
to also treat people the same,
and to not judge people by their color

Dreams are like memories for me
The civilization was to fight
segregation, thought it was wrong
Then Martin Luther King anyway
said a big memorable speech
then he began,“ I have a dream that...”

He fought and he changed everything
People are now no longer apart
They finally are together
And then Martin depressingly died
from a very mad protester

It was really depressing because
he was like the blacks’ first hero
I am still glad he was here and there
now people know him everywhere

How have I ever learned how to dream?
I learned from Martin Luther King.
