Suddenly there was a piercing scream. A bloodcurdling scream, right behind her.

The Clue of the Linoleum Lederhosen is a book about three kids who take a vacation from solving mysteries. What they thought would be a mystery-free vacation at a ski lodge turns into a chain of unforeseen and exciting events.

This book is written as a Middle Grade Fantasy for ages 10 and up. I would agree with that age level because there are some words in the book that even I had a hard time pronouncing. The Clue of the Linoleum Lederhosen is written by M.T. Anderson, the author of Whales on Stilts, The Game of the Sunken Places, Burger Wuss, Thirsty, and Feed.

His three main characters are very adventurous kids, who have an especially great time with solving mysteries. I love the way he words his sentences. It almost makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. Though few, the illustrations seem to come alive on the pages as you look at them.

I would say that a good book would have more than one exciting event happen. The Clue of the Linoleum Lederhosen has lots of exciting events, such as being on the brink of death, getting things stolen, being held at gunpoint, and being kidnapped. Like The Clue of the Linoleum Lederhosen, a good book wouldn't have all the events happening in the same setting throughout the book. I would DEFINITELY agree with anyone who says that The Clue of the Linoleum Lederhosen is for sure a great read!

This reviewer gives The Clue of the Linoleum Lederhosen four stars.
