(Ann Dixon has also written The Sleeping Beauty and Blueberry Shoe, winner of the National Outdoor Book Award.) Winter Is is a poem that tells a story about winter. It has beautiful illustrations by Mindy Dwyer and is suitable for ages 3 to 8. Everyone will enjoy this book, especially people who love winter. A great read-aloud for a cozy midwinter night.
