Death
Katie, Age 12, Stoney Creek, ON

Death is a bloodless face,
Neck strangled with a lace,
Blood trickling at a sickening pace.

Death is a drunken brawl,
When tempers fall,
About something that never mattered at all.

Death is a dagger waiting to be used,
A weapon that was abused,
With which you can only lose.

It is an accident that makes everyone cry,
Makes them wonder why,
Never leaving a dry eye.

So put away the knife,
Save a life.
Put away the booze,
Remember to always choose
So one more innocent
can live.
