The Snow
Morgan, Age 12, Mt. Airy, NC

To shoot an arrow at the rain
To take away a person's sane
A new day's light
A widow's night
Wind blowing from the east
The opportune moment's ceased

For every time you drop a dime
By mother nature's side
You know that you too will abide

O, stars at night
At day
At sight
Fill us with joy so right
For when day comes
You shall vanish
But never be banished
For the light deep in the night
Is only you above

Above flying like a dove
To meet the morning sky
The sky so very high
When the tide comes
And all the rivers run
They will meet as one
Under the sun
