My Dream
Sarah, Age 12, Chicago, IL

It all started out with a small swim team.
I never really thought that it was my dream.
But as I got good
I knew that I could
Make it to the Olympics one day.

I swam through college.
And increased my knowledge
Of how to make the perfect flip turn.
I trained and I trained
Until my arms were strained.

Then I was ready.
I just knew I was
To go to the Olympics just because
I had practiced so hard and
I knew I was ready.
All I had to do was take it steady.

When I was picked to be on the team
I knew I was following my dream.
I had finally won the gold.
That is how stories end, I am told.
