The Moon Walker
Ruth, Age 11, Kitimat, BC

Up and down I leap and bound,
My feet just barely touch the ground.

The day is hot, without a breeze,
And in the night, I'd really freeze.

There is no sound, no atmosphere,
I think it's rather dull up here.

And I can't find a souvenir,
There's only dust and rocks up here.

Everything's so bare and grey,
This isn't much of a holiday.

So from the moon, as you can see,
The earth looks pretty good to me.
