	Saxophone Donald, Age 14, Sugar Land, TX

I am a person who likes playing the Saxophone
I wonder if I’ll ever get better at playing it
I hear sounds of some Bass Clarinet squeaking next to me
I see the Brass exhausting their lips
I want to play a melody part,
rather than the dumb accompaniment part.
I am a person who likes playing the Saxophone

I pretend to be ok with having the boring parts
I feel like I should switch back to Alto Sax
I cry because I can’t play the Alto as good as the Baritone
I worry that I might do bad in the marching band auditions
I am a person who likes playing the Saxophone

I understand that I made 1st chair Region completely by luck
it was luck because everyone wore their lips out practicing ‘cept me
I dream that I could actually be a somewhat good Saxophone player
I try to become better, but I have to learn to practice
I hope all this saxophone junk isn’t boring you at all
because I am a person who likes playing the Saxophone
