I watch the clock Turning, torturing me with its relentless perseverance Refusing to turn faster Going its own laggardly way Coming to the same place minute after minute Starting again it's cycle of time Pursuing its course of never ending passivity Ongoing movement I see now; thirty more seconds Ten, five Three, two, one and finally the bell that tells us two words without saying a thing; School's Out! |
