Spaghetti Shoe Laces
 Homeiraa, Age 12, Montréal, QC

                             One day, the lunch mother came up to us
                                And said, “Students let’s have lunch”
                               She said “We're going to have spaghetti.”
                                        We all made faces
                             Cause the spaghetti looked like shoe laces!
                                We yelled, we wept and then we said,
                            “No! We cannot eat the Spaghetti shoe laces!
                                    We brought our own lunch!
                                       Go away we say!
                                      Go serve your lunch
                                        To the dump!”
