Soccer
Tyler, Age 12, Macedon, NY

Like a robber on the run
We burst into the game
With only one thing on our minds,
Winning
The only game that mattered
Was this one
We needed to win so badly,
I received the soccer ball
And passed it up to our offensive line
Here it was, the shot
It bounced off the top left pole
No......Silence was everywhere
It was like slow motion
The left wing charged at the ball
Swung his left foot like a baseball bat.....
The net rippled like a giant wave
The ref blew his whistle
Pal-Mac took the victory he said
I could taste the joy
We did it as a team
All I heard was the loud cheers of the crowd,
And the ringing in my ears from the whistle.
