Titanic
Rebecca, Age 12, Merced, CA

Gliding though the water
Beautiful to all
Water swirling at the bow
The bold waves splashing

On board the cold air lofts up to the passengers
A daughter catches a glimpse of something looming in the distance
Gliding through the water
Beautiful to all

The ocean grabs hold of the ship as it begins to sink
A tragic slaughter by the water’s merciless waves
The great vessel begins to totter
All the gold at the bottom, never to be forgotten
Gliding through the water
