Only two years older, Cass is as close to Caitlin as a sister can be. Cass is also her motherís life, and is constantly being driven here and there for sports and events, while Caitlin lives in her sisterís shadow. When Cass runs away from home, her family is torn to pieces. They are forced to cope, and Caitlin realizes how much Cass really meant to her mother.

Then Caitlin meets Rogerson. She finally feels loved. Rogerson is the light in her life and he is in love with her.  ut he is different, unusual, and suddenly her life is too good to be true.

Dreamland is a very realistic story of a teenage girlís involvement with a boy who proves to be more than he seems on the surface. I thought it was a gripping read, and I am interested to read more of Sarah Dessenís work. I recommend this book to readers in Grades 9 to 12, and rate it 5 stars.
