The newest addition to the Mustang Mountain series, Dark Horse, has kept up the outstanding reputation for this relatively new series. Brimming with excitement, adventure and perhaps a touch of danger, this novel is an excellent quick read. It is the ninth book in the acclaimed Mustang Mountain series, and the latest addition to the set. These books are filled with as much drama and suspense as a book can hold; and any young horse lover will certainly enjoy them. I know Iím planning to collect the whole series myself.

Dark Horse is, for those of you familiar with the books, another story about fifteen year old Becky Sanderson. This time Becky challenges herself with competing in an endurance race on her mumís horse. At the same time, she is falling head over heals for handsome Rob, their friend and farm hand. Then she meets the super-model-gorgeous Tara, a competitor in the race, and things begin to get interesting.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves horses, and even those who donít. I would also recommend reading books one through eight, since you definitely get a feel for the characters, and each book, although tied to the last, is a separate spellbinding story in itself.

Dark Horse deserves 5 stars.
