Different
Katherine, Age 12, Reston, VA

He doesn't suck up,
To me,
Doesn't tough up,
To me,
He's different.
I like him
For who he is,
He likes me
For who I am,
He's different yet alike.
He doesn't show off,
For me,
Doesn't pick flowers,
For me,
That's the way he is.
He doesn't cry,
With me,
Doesn't die,
For me,
But that's okay.
'Cuz he doesn't change,
For me,
He stays the same,
For me,
And I'll do the same for him.
Together,
We'll be,
Different.
