‘Mountain lion,’ Zach whispered.
I couldn’t answer.
‘We need to get down. Fast,’ he said.
I didn’t need any coaxing. He began running beside the gully, and I was right behind him.
That is, until I fell.

This is the third novel in the Rosie series. Action is a new novel that is jam-packed with adventures and overflowing with drama. Carol Matas is an excellent writer who has published many historical fiction novels, and many about the Holocaust, so if you enjoyed this particular one you may want to check out her other titles.

Action is mainly about Rosie and her desire to be a lead character in one of her father’s western movies. Her father hires a Wild West show; a group of trick riders and people that do stunts on horses. Rosie meets Zach, who seems unfriendly. When something happens to Zach’s dad, he is asked to take on his dad’s part in the show. Can Rosie convince him to do it?

I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys adventure or drama. This historical fiction novel seems so real. Remember if you enjoyed this story about Rosie and her adventures check out books 1 and 2.

Action deserves four stars.
