Eldest is a jaw-dropping fantasy full of twists, turns and betrayals. It takes place in the medieval ages, in the empire of Alagaesia. Sequel to Eragon, this New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller, is action-packed and will leave you wanting more. The author, Christopher Paolini writes fantasy books. Eragon and Eldest are his only books, but he has cleaned the competition away by writing probably some of the best fantasy books for ages 12 and up.

After nearly dieing protecting the Varden, sixteen year old Eragon and his dragon, Saphira must set out from the hollow mountain to be trained by the fabled, almost extinct, elves in the great forest. Back home, Eragonís cousin, Roran, is facing a new danger. The very creatures that destroyed his home and killed his father are back. Roran must fight, but are the Razízac just too powerful?

Eldest was impossible to put down, with its rapid dialogue. The writing was clear, understandable, and full of details that will put you in Eragonís shoes. Some parts were sad, some happy, some funny, and some even made you want revenge just as much as Eragon. It has everything, making it incredibly interesting. Itíll grab you from the start and drag you all the way to the end of the book. Eldest is full of twists that will surprise you.

I conclude that this book is extraordinarily well done. I suggest any book lover read Eldest. It has the perfect balance of everything you want in a book, and I guarantee that you will not be the least bit disappointed.

This reviewer gives 5 stars to Paoliniís Eldest. (I would have said six stars, but I canít go higher than five!)
