Hockey Superstars is written by author Paul Romanuk and is about, you guessed it, hockey. It has facts about hockey’s all-time greats, from Howie Morenz to Wayne Gretzky. The hockey-lover will drool over this book, literally. For example, did you know that Jean Beliveau was offered the Governor General’s position in 1994, but he turned it down? Or that Ken Dryden sat out the entire 1973-1974 season due to a contract disagreement, and during his time off he worked for a law firm in Toronto?

Hockey Superstars is a wonderful book for the hockey-lover. I may not be too much of a hockey fan, but I know if I was I would read this book over and over again. It has clear, straightforward facts, although sometimes the subject bounced the odd time, it was hardly noticeable.

For these reasons I give Hockey Superstars four stars.
