"Like I said," Harlan commented smugly, "we are four. Always have been. Always will be."

Argus, Harlan, Noble, Tara. All teenagers. All werewolves. As a pack they look after one another and stick together. So when the logging company announces they're clear-cutting the pack's home forest, they know they have to stop the destruction of the forest. Besides, there is something else in the forest, something ancient and mysterious, and that something could change the pack’s future forever.

Lone Wolf is an intriguing tale. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to sign out its sister story, Wolf Pack. Van Belkom has created a fun-filled novel on the border between a teen-finding-their-place-in-the-world story and an enchanting fantasy. Kids from 10 to 14 will enjoy Lone Wolf. It's a great story, one I wouldn't want to miss.

I would give Lone Wolf four out of five stars.
