In 1973, a yellow blob of dog vomit slime mold - almost a metre (3 feet) across -- moved up a telephone pole in Texas. It scared folks so much they called firefighters to attack it. But even big masses of slime molds don't harm people. When food runs short, the molds just produce more spores, and the cycle begins again.

The Wonder In Water was written by Diane Swanson. Diane is the author of more than 60 factual books for kids. This author lives in Victoria, BC, Canada, where she has studied everything you could think of that involves science.

This one book includes everything from your sweat to how living things fall in chunks of ice to the ground, along with everything in between. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a strong stomach, or needs to find out something to do with water.

I would give this book a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. It isn't my kind of book, but it could be for you.
