The deserted
place Had no life The deserted place Air as sharp as a knife The air was cold And the sky was dark The moon was bright and bold You couldn’t see the tree bark The rain lashed down In long hard dashes It makes you frown When the lightning flashes No place to sleep No place to rest Can’t even peep It’s such a pest I’m so dull Can’t think at all As dark as a bull But yet so tall |
