Julie’s imagination was a source of amazement for her brothers and sisters and amusement for her parents.

Cora Taylor is a very descriptive writer who can really capture the emotion and feeling without using tons of words.  She has written many books that I have enjoyed very much.

This book is about a girl named Julie.  She has quite a vast, yet very vivid, imagination.  When she was younger her siblings enjoyed her stories and listened eagerly when she announced that she had a story, but as they grew up they found her stories silly and a waste of time.  Everyone knows that she is different but no one is more concerned about her than her mother.  Luckily for Julie, she finds a friend and believer in Granny Goderich.  When something happens to Granny, will Julie be able to get through it or will she give up on herself and her rare gift?

I would definitely recommend this quick read to anyone. Readers over the age of 12 might find it a little childish, but overall I think most people will find it a good read.

Julie deserves four stars.
