Kristyís Great Idea is the first book of The Baby-Sitters Club. This book is a graphic novel, which is a format that has a bare minimum of words and is instead packed with pictures. Graphic novels have been on fire for the last little while, so by all means try them. If you donít like them, donít feel bad because they arenít for everyone.

This novel is about four very different individuals, Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia, and Stacey. One day while visiting, Kristy comes up with the idea of starting a club that baby-sits. All of them are eager to start and let there own past clientele know. This marks the beginning of the BABY-SITTERS CLUB, which tests the members to the breaking point. If it isnít enough having to baby-sit anything from rowdy dogs to children who are convinced a witch lives next door, they are all having their own personal problems. Will the club survive the rough start?

This graphic novel rates three stars.
