Fone Bone and his two cousins – Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone - are run out of Boneville. They are run out by a mob that chases them off the map. Now Fone Bone must help them make it to Boneville. But because of a humongous swarm of locusts, they are separated, and happen to find their way into a lush valley where they meet creatures they have never seen before. Fone Bone meets a dragon that protects him from the rat creatures, which are out to kill the Bone cousins, no matter what the cost.

In this crazy adventure, Jeff Smith’s imagination runs wild and creates the ultimate story. Jeff Smith wrote comic strips for Ohio State University in 1986, and he released Bone in 1991. Bone is great. It’s funny, full of adventure, and I’m sure people of all ages will enjoy it.

Bone is the ultimate comic series of hilarious, unforgettable adventure. I couldn’t stop reading, and I was disappointed when I was done. Out from Boneville is the 1st book in the Bone series. I haven’t read the 2nd book, but I sure want to! It’s one of those books that you want the series to never end. I give this zany, unforgettable adventure 5 out of 5 stars!
