The Coast
Sumaya, Age 10, Lewiston, ME

Seagulls screeching at the waves, hungry for fish.
Lighthouses guiding ships like policemen.
Salty air diving into my lungs refreshes me.
The crisp smell of pine cones in the Autumn air.
The pine trees decorating the scene with color.
The orange rocks shaking hands with the waves.
Appetizing lobster cooked for a tasty meal.
The strong, salty ocean air smacks my face.
The roughness in the flaming rocks looks like fire.
Calm and curious, I wonder about he inside of lighthouses.
Where is the sparkling in the sky?
Why are the clouds fooling my eyes?
