Slouchy is lying on his back behind the car. ‘All right, all right,’ he mutters to himself. ’I’ll beat it.’  He fumbles the car door open and crawls in. Skinny drives away. And echoing strangely, the voice returns once more.

“Great steaming mugs of cocoa! Where am I?"

Nose for Adventure is the second book in the series that brought you Nose from Jupiter. Alan Dingwall is going to New York to meet up with his father. Alan is expecting a great time with his dad. There are some bumps in the road, though. In the sequel Alan meets up with new friends, enemies, and old friends like some from another planet. Who knows what New York has in store for Alan?

Richard Scrimger wrote Nose for Adventure, and other books including Nose from Jupiter, Noses are Red, and Boy from Earth. He's created a fantastic series. A genius! Bravo! He wrote a hilarious book that really got me laughing, and even sometimes crying. All in all, Scrimger's a great author. I would recommend this book to anyone 10-14 years old.

Nose for Adventure
was fabulous piece of literature. It may have been only 176 pages, but all of those pages were filled excitement and emotion. People may think an alien living inside a boy’s nose, or in this book a dog’s, would be stupid or silly. Yet, I really enjoyed this book, and if you saw me at the library it would definitely be a book that I would recommend. It got my emotions flowing and my imagination going.

I’ve got to hand it to Richard Scrimger, another great novel! This book was awesome … fantastic, until I compared it to Nose from Jupiter. Then it was the best book I’ve read in a long time. I would give Nose for Adventure a shiny 5 stars!
