“There were several children taken into temporary custody.  I can release him into your care if you have some photo identification.”

Nikki Tate is a wonderful writer who can capture the importance of something yet still makes it interesting.  I would recommend this book to anyone who is partial to adventure or if you have a strong feeling about how our environment is being destroyed every single day and how we can help.

The ‘Ladies of the Forest’ are a group of stubborn women whom feel so passionately about saving some historic trees, that they are willing to pose naked for the community calendar.   Amongst these women is Heather Blake’s grandmother.   Heather is deeply disturbed by her grandmother’s choices and doesn’t hesitate to let anyone know that. She even writes articles for different papers.   Her opinion, as well as those of others, doesn’t faze these ladies.   One day after an intense battle with the local police the ladies are arrested and emotions run high.  What will become of the ‘Ladies of the Forest’ and their distressed families?

Trouble on Tarragon Island earns three and one half stars.
