When Hart Fox's spot at the prestigious and wacky Stutts University is hijacked by Burlington Darling the Third, it looks as though his career is over. But when Mr. Darling offers him a chance to get back into the school, and take all of Burlington's classes as well as Hart's own, he agrees. But will he be able to survive the repeated attacks of Comma Comma Apostrophe and pass university at the same time? With the help of some friends and a beautiful vampire he might just be able to.

While at first glance it seems strange, Freshman is jam-packed with laughs, adventure and twists. It’s not your average run-of-the-mill school story either; it’s one quite unlike any other you’ve read. It has a really good story line, but I found it wasn’t just to my taste. I did enjoy it, but it’s geared more towards male humor. I would recommend it for boys (and some girls) ages 14 and up.

I’d give Freshman four stars out of five.
