Justine Chen Headley is a wonderful writer, whose writing really captures your attention and makes you get in trouble because you canít set it down to do chores.  I would definitely pick this one up for a sunny afternoon on the beach.  In my opinion I think that this book would appeal more to girls between the ages of 13 and 17, as the main character is in her late teens.

This novel is one of a kind.  It all starts when Patricia Yi-Phen Ho is asked by a teacher to write her life story.   As most teenagers would do, she leaves it to the very last minute, more specifically the night before it is due.   After reading it the teacher gives it back to her and tells her that it isnít her life story and that on the first day of school next year it is due.   Patty, the nickname that was given to her by her friends, isnít too excited about this summer project, and to top off the situation she gets to spend the summer under the watchful eye of, none other than, her overly strict mother.   Luckily for her she gets a break when her mother decides to send her to math camp.  Yah, that is exactly how Patty felt, but what opportunities will this math camp provide?

Nothing but the Truth (and a few white lies) deserves 4 shining stars.
