Julie Johnston did a great job of writing this book.  It is full of emotion and superstition.  I would recommend this book to avid readers 13 years and older as some of the material would be better understood by older readers.

A Very Fine Line is about Rosalind Kemp, who at the age of thirteen is starting to realize that she is different than most people; she has a second sight.  Most people donít have that, right?  At first Rosalind is able to sort of ignore it, but her fear becomes official when she meets two of her great aunts, who know all about this family gift.  This information terrifies Rosalind, but what can she do to stop these weird activities.  Only after uncovering years of family history can she begin to understand it.  Do you know your family history?

A Very Fine Line deserves 4 stars.
