The land that you call home is also home to all kinds of animals, big and small. Come and meet some of the youngest of them, the ones that are a lot like you.

While you might be learning to swim or ride a bike, these young animals are learning to get around, too. They have much to find out about the life around them.

Marilyn Baillie wrote small Wonders. She has written this wonderful book, with the help of Romi Caron, who did the illustrations. Together, they do a brilliant job of putting together this very informational picture book.

The main idea in this book is how different baby animals in the wild, including polar bears, wolves, bison, cougars and many more, survive in the wilderness. To go along with all of these short paragraphs, there are many vivid pictures showing what the different animals look like and what their habitat is like.

After reading this book, I give Small Wonders 4 stars, and would recommend this book to anyone between the ages of 5 and 10.
