Archie stood absolutely still. His first instinct was to call out to his mother and father, but even as that thought crossed his mind he discovered it wasnít fear he felt but curiosity. He couldnít take his eyes away from the flickering, shimmering light and he felt perfectly calm as a small voice inside his head told him not to be afraid.

Itís Archieís tenth birthday, and once again, he receives a mysterious package in the mail. Addressed to him, coming all the way from his long lost uncle Rufus. Every year Archie spies a new gift coming through the door and never sees it again.  This year is going to be different, though. After all, Archie is ten years old. Heís practically a man! He deserves to see what is in those packages, and will do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal.

I thought that The Wind Tamer was an awesome book. It had great detail, and really made you feel the magic, like everything was happening to you. Although, I do believe that this book is better suited for those between the ages of 9 and 11; the concepts and obstacles were more appropriate towards that age group.

I grant The Wind Tamer 3 shining stars! It was a fun read.
