Ceiling Sky

Dedication: I dedicate this poem to my sister because she is my role model and she also helped me become who I am today.

They are the stars that shine in my night!
May they be the ones that fight the darkness till dawn,
Then bring light to a little fawn.

The stars upon a ceiling,
Making me feel that I'm an astronaut,

When I dream,
Dreaming like a baby,
I say to myself, maybe
there is a light in a ceiling sky,
Trying to say goodbye,
to all the darkness,
recharge during the day,
Then come back at night!

Author's note: What inspired me to write this poem was glow in the dark stars on my bedroom ceiling!
