I can see water rushing down and
salmon, trout, steelhead,
smelt jumping out of the water.

I can hear water rushing,
birds chirping from trees.

I can feel my rod tip going down
as soon as I yanked my rod I had a fish on.

Then I’d can smell my mom cooking fish.
I tasted the fish, it was spicy like peppers.

At the Columbia river is also white sturgeon,
we catch walleye and bass,
game fish like pike, gaff, walleye,
trout and sturgeon
I know a lot more game fish than that
because I fish for them.
