Rock Jaw: Master of the Eastern Border is the fifth book in the Bone series. Fone Bone and his brother, Smiley Bone, set out for the mountains to release a young rat creature cub named Bartelby. Along the way they meet a group of young orphans whose parents were eaten by the rat creatures. After entering the mountains, they are soon greeted by the creature Rock Jaw. Is he friend? Or foe? Only time will tell.

Rock Jaw: Master of the Eastern Border has page after page of eye-catching illustrations and is, yet again, another great graphic novel in the Bone series. Iíd say it is one of Jeff Smithís best Bone graphic novels Iíve read so far, due to the excitement and sense of adventure I felt when reading it. The picture on the front cover captures almost everything that happens in the story without giving it all away. I canít wait for the next one to come out, as each graphic novel leaves you wondering what kind of trouble the Bone brothers will get into next. Itís an easy read so I would recommend this book to kids 10 years and up.

This reviewer gives the graphic novel, Rock Jaw: Master of the Eastern Border, five incredible stars.
