I did exactly what Mrs. Sharpe said. I asked her if she thought I should have a sleepover party for my birthday this year. She said it was a good idea, but I should ask my parents. I went home from school and asked my mom. Here's what my mom said. She said, "Why, Rose Jessica Singleton, I think that's a great idea." If only she had not allowed it. If only my mom had said it would be too much trouble. If only my mom had told me it would end up so badly, then I would never have done it.

Anna Morgan and Dr. Rachael Turkienicz wrote this brilliant novel, with wonderful illustrations by Heather Castles. Together, they worked together as a team to come up with a fantastic story that really paints a realistic picture of what might happen to a young girl, and how things sometimes turn out.

This story was mainly about how a young girl named Rose tries to plan a sleepover party. In the beginning, Rose is soooo excited about what is going to happen at her party and what they might do, but it soon turns into nervousness after she learns that two of the most popular girls in school won't come if she invites her best friend. This book really shows how most girls would want to handle it, and how things can be helped and sorted out.

I would give My Worst/Best Sleepover Party 4 stars, as it really touches on how a girl’s life can be. I would recommend this book for any girl between the ages of 7 and 11.
